Submissions
In the realm of fan fiction, in particular, it is often difficult to find well-written stories. A good writer is a valuable asset and deserves to be showcased and shared with readers. The purpose of the Submission section is to promote those authors and stories that deserve recognition.
There are several different submission categories to choose from. List below are the general guidelines for all Submission areas. Below those is listed additional guidelines for specific categories.
Your contributions are very important and we encourage you to let us know about those stories and authors that you really like. Oh, and there's no rule against nominating yourself for one of the categories. In fact, it is welcomed.
General Submission Guidelines:
For Authors-
Authors must have storied in the Pretender fandom.
Authors do not need to have their own website, but they must be published somewhere on the web. Fanfiction.net and similar archive site are fine.
For Stories-
No slash, no smut, no sexual content, no obscene language, no exception. That being said, if the story you are wanting to nominate does contain any of the aforementioned content and the author is willing to edit, then that's great. If you mention this when submitting we will contact the author for you.
Ratings up to R only, please. Violence, excluding sexual violence, is acceptable as is dark themes.
Stories will be reviewed for content. If for some reason the submitted story does not fit criteria, we will notify the person who submitted the story to see if they would like to contact the author about a possible edit.
There is no limit to the number of times you may submit the same author and story.

Pretender Author of the Month Submissions:
The Pretender author of the month is an exceptional writer who writes creative and original stories or puts a new twist on an old them.
If you know of an author who fits this criterion and the criteria in General Guidelines, please let us know.

Pretender Site of the Month:
Site must be kid-friendly. No adult content.

Pretender Story of the Month Submission:
The Story of the Month is a well-crafted tale in one or more of these areas:
An original plot
A unique take on an old idea
Well-developed characters
Exceptional writing of canon characters.
Story must also fit General Guidelines.

Pretender Original Character of the Month:
This category is similar to the one above but features an exceptionally written character created by the author.
No Mary-Sue type characters!
General Submission guidelines apply.

Featured Pretender Character Story of the Month:
|
This is a story that features a certain canon character from the Pretender. A canon character is any that appeared on the television show and not created by the author.
Example: TWINE's featured character is Lyle.
The story may feature any canon character, even minor characters.
The main requirement for this category is that the featured character is exceptionally written in character.
